Churches are often the front line of defense when it comes to dealing with people in need. But sometimes we can find ourselves derailed by a question for which we have no answer. One of those questions may come from an addicted person, or someone dealing with the horrors of addiction peripherally with a family member or loved one. When a person makes that call, the window of opportunity is opened at its widest. If you can’t tell them where to get help, that window may close permanently.
If you’ve never been confronted with the issue of addiction, chances are you will be. Will you have an answer ready, or will you send that person away without the help they so desperately need?
